Sperling, Arlene A. (Mueller) (22 DEC 1932 - 31 DEC 2016)
Arlene A. Sperling, age 84, formerly of Withee, passed away on Saturday,
December 31, 2016 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Abbotsford under the
tender care of hospice. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday,
January 6, 2017 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Rev. Brian
Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, town of
Hixon.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday
at the funeral home.
Arlene was born December 22, 1932, the daughter of Carl and Meta Mae (Steen)
Mueller in Medford. Arlene was united in marriage to Ronald Sperling on April
22, 1967 in Withee. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2012.
Arlene worked as a cook for the 11th Frame and the Lunchbox Café. She enjoyed
playing pool, drinking Bud Light, watching the Packers, camping and spending
time at the lake. Most importantly, Arlene cherished her family.
Arlene is lovingly survived by her daughters: Denise (Paul) Todd of Withee,
Darla Schrock of Loyal, and Cindy Gruhlke of Loyal; her grandchildren: Tasha L,
Jesse Knoll of Withee, Jakota Todd of Withee, Kimberly (Jamie) Marten of
Dorchester, Ryan Schrock of Milwaukee, Christopher Schrock of MN, Shania Schrock
of Loyal, Allen Gruhlke of Loyal, Jonathon (Laneah) Gruhlke of Loyal, and Brett
Gruhlke of Loyal; her great grandchildren: Shawn Schrock, Kylia Nordlof, Haylee
Marten, Brianna Marten, Bryher Churkey, Mackenzie Marten, and Damion Gruhlke.
She is further survived by her sisters, Shelby Jean (Ed) Seis and Barb (Jerry)
Lukes; two brothers, Ronnie (Jan) Mueller and Dennis Mueller; nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; her sister
Sharon and brothers, Dick, Harry, Alvin and Jerry.
