St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Lublin, was the scene Saturday afternoon, December 21, 1968, for the wedding of Miss Lorraine Patricia An Kotowski and James Charles Olson. After the 1 o'clock ceremony a reception for 450 guests was held at Koolmo's Ballroom, Gilman.

Rev. Norbert West officiated at the repetition of marriage vows between the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil S. Kotowski, town of Roosevelt (Taylor Co., Wis.), and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olson, town of Green Grove, Clark County, Wis.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a white sparkle crepe gown designed with a jewel neckline, long pointed sleeves and an empire waistline. Lace appliques studded with iridescent sequins and crystals accented the front of the gown and edged the squire train. Nylon illusion formed the train length veil, which was caught to a crown of crystal beads and drop crystals. Completing her ensemble were white shoes covered with lace appliques, crystals and iridescent sequins. She carried a cascade bouquet of white Fuji mums, white poinsettias, stephanotis, lilies of the valley, and ivy accented by loops of crystal and rope streamers covered with small white poinsettias and crystal.

Her maid of honor, Mrs. Joseph Koltis, Thorp, the groom's sister, donned an apple green spark crepe gown fashioned with a jewel neckline, long tapered sleeves and a bow trimmed empire waistline. A crepe crown secured the floor length green nylon illusion veil. An identical outfit was worn by the bridesmaid, Miss Julie Burkhardt, Thorp. Each held a cascade arrangement of red poinsettias, green tinted carnations and lilies of the valley.

A brother of the bride, Donald Kotowski, Lublin, served as best man, and Richard Olson, Owen, the groom's brother, was groomsman.

Miniature attendants were Robert Maki, Chippewa Falls, and Cheryl Lynn Koltis, Thorp, the groom's nephew and niece. Cheryl, the flower girl, was donned identically to the bride in miniature. Her bouquet was also a replica of the bride.

The bride, who graduated from Thorp High School and Taylor County Teachers College, Medford, is teaching at St. Bernard's parochial school, Thorp. Her husband, who attended Owen High School, is self-employed. They are making their home five miles east and two and one-half miles north of Thorp.

Guests at the wedding came from Cadott, Colby, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Owen, Withee Thorp, Phillips, Medford, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Stanley, Milwaukee, Armstrong Creek, Gilman, Chicago, Montana, California and Michigan.
