Mrs. Florence Jacobs Dies, Is Buried In Perkinstown
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 15, for Mrs. Florence Jacobs, who
died of pneumonia and other complications, Sunday, February 12, at the Medford
hospital. Mrs. Jacobs was 77 years old. She had been ill for nine weeks.
Acting as pall bearers at the funeral were Wm. Vetter, F. W. Meyer, John
Billings and Fred Redwine.
Mrs. Jacobs was born August 22, 1855. Fifty years ago, when she was twenty-seven
years old, she was married to B. F. Dufield, at Verdon, South Dakota. Mr.
Dufield died in 1907 and his widow later married L. Jacobs.
Forty-one years ago Mrs. Jacobs came to Taylor county from South Dakota. She
lived in Medford for one year and then moved to Perkinstown, where she had since
resided.
She is survived by two sons, George B. Dufield of Perkinstown, and Robert E.
Dufield of Medford. There are also four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Perkinstown community church, with Rev.
Clark Selby officiating, and burial was made in the Perkinstown cemetery.

Cemetery, Perkinstown, Wisconsin. Parents of Florence are Cyrus Greeley & Ellen
(Holland) Clough.
