Miss Kathleen Kubera of 629 W. Adler Road, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Kubera, route 3, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), was escorted into St. Hedwig’s
Catholic Chapel in Thorp and given in marriage by her father to Dale L.
Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Anderson, 214 N. Wood Ave., Marshfield.
The Anderson-Kubera ceremony took place at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 1969,
the Rev. William Matzek officiating, and the church choir singing.
A floor length white gown with train and made of lace, pearls and sequins was
worn by the bride along with a veil in fingertip length, flowing from a teardrop
pearl crown. She held a bouquet of yellow roses and carnations surrounded by
green leaves.
Mrs. Barry Berdal of Ashland was matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaid were
Mrs. Jack Korn of Stanley, Miss Darlene Lake, Edgar, and Miss Barb Bloczynski,
Marshfield.
They had floor length green and gold empire formals and headpieces fashioned in
satin bows with short veils. Each held an arrangement of white daisies with
yellow centers.
Others in the wedding party were Dan Sutton, Marshfield, best man; Jack Korn of
Stanley, Dennis Anderson of Marshfield, and Barry Berdal of Ashland, groomsmen;
and Dan Peleschak, Thorp and Alvin Reese Jr., Sheboygan, ushers.
The Mass and ceremony at Thorp were followed by a 5 p.m. dinner served at the
Eagles Hall in Marshfield, where the wedding reception and dance were held from
9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The bride graduated in 1967 from Thorp High School and her husband, the same
year from Marshfield Senior High School. He is a roofer for Mauerer, Inc.,
Marshfield, which will be the home of the Anderson following a honeymoon spent
in the southern states.
