Joseph E. Cassell died Sunday, evening, April 26, 1970 at Ashville, North Carolina.

Funeral services were held in Ashville Friday, May 1st, and the remains were brought to Stanley, where it lay in state from 6:30 Thursday evening until Friday morning at the Plombon Funeral Home.

Graveside services were conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Evergreen cemetery, with Father Donald Berg officiating.

Mr. Cassell was the husband of the former Inga (Solie) Cassell, whom he married in 1942.

Attending the funeral of the late Joseph E. Cassell of Ashville, North Carolina were: Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Brandsness and son Eric of Paramus, New Jersey, Mrs. Eva Solie of L'Anse, Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Solie of Marquette, Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. James Solie of Escanaba, Michigan, Mrs. Florence Solie of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Bruce Solie of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
