Greenwood 1944 (30 Year Reunion – 8 September 1974)

Twenty classmates of Greenwood High School, Class of 1944, their spouses, and guests, attended a 30th anniversary reunion dinner and program at Bali Hai Supper club near Neillsville Sunday evening.

Alvin Ehlers, Jr. acted as master of ceremonies. The committee who made the arrangements were Wallace Brey, Lawrence Jackson, Bernice (Schwarze) Fravert, Alvin Ehlers, Edward Sloniker, and Elaine (Jollivette) Schwan.

Special guests were former principal, Albert Moldenhauer of Stevens Point, and his wife.

During the program letters were read from absent classmates.

Prizes were awarded to: Bernyce Barr, Jean Marsden, Elvera Humke, Lorraine Klapatauskas, and Connie Bizjak.

Class members and their spouses in attendance were; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Marsden (Jean Reese) of Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sorenson (Minerva Hegenbarth) of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Austin Mlada of Hales Corners; Mr. and Mrs. Verne Vollrath of Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Vangsnes of Poynette; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gordee of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Vollone (Frances Klapatauskas) of Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Klapatauskas (Lorraine Kitzhaber) of Willard; Alvin Ehlers, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Brey, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson (Shirley Vinger) all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schwan (Elaine Jollivette) of Loyal.

Tentative plans were made to have another reunion in 1979.
