Former area resident Vernon Martin Shortell, 103, King, died Thursday, March 6,
2003, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at Plombon Funeral Home in
Stanley, with Rev. Robert Nelson officiating. Visitation begins at 10 a.m.
Vernon is the son of Patrick John & Annie L. (Toomey) Shortell. He served in the
US Army, during WW 2.
