Now residing on route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), after an extended honeymoon
through northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, are Mr. and Mrs. Randall E.
Plautz, who were married Saturday, July 29, 1972.
The former Miss Christine Ann Koltis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Koltis, 425
E. Fifth Street, Owen, was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Emil Plautz, route 1, Owen, during a 3 p.m. ceremony performed by the Rev.
Will Grelle of St. Hedwig's Catholic Church of Thorp, in Holy Rosary Catholic
Church, Owen.
The bride's uncle, Alois Ciolkosz, was organist, and Miss Kathleen Gaffney
played the guitar and sang for the Mass.
Miss Koltis selected an empire gown of white crepe and organza, and a floor
length veil held by a floral headpiece. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses,
white carnations, and blue tinted daisies.
The bridal aides were Miss Diane Koltis, Owen, maid of honor; Miss Colleen
Plautz of Owen; Mrs. Jeanne Frenette, Thorp, and Miss Kay Klabon, Withee,
bridesmaids, and Kim Plautz, junior bridesmaid.
Each has an empire formal, the maid of honor and junior bridesmaid in blue
ensembles, and the others in yellow. Each had a white picture hat and carried a
single yellow rose.
Terry Plautz, Owen, was asked by the bridegroom to be his best man. Others in
the wedding party were Ken Koltis of Owen, Lary Pakiz, Greenwood, and John Barna
of Wausau, groomsmen, and Bob Hmielak and Denny Pakiz, ushers.
Following the church ceremony, a dinner and dance were held at the Meadowview
Country Club, Owen.
The new matron graduated in 1968 from Owen-Withee High School, from which her
husband graduated the following eyar. She has been working for ITT Midwestern
Life Insurance, Thorp, and Mr. Plautz, who graduated in 1970 from Rice Lake
Technical Institute, Rice Lake, is a heavy equipment operator.
