Mrs. Clifford Meyer is convinced of the truth of the fact that there are many
honest people in the world. She had a pocketbook with a large sum of money
returned to her recently even before she knew it was lost.
Herman Lemke found the pocketbook on county Trunk E recently while hunting with
Herman Westrich. A ration book in it showed that the purse belonged to Mrs.
Meyer, so Herman delivered it to her at the home of her father, Wm. Spreen,
nearby.
Mrs. Meyer decided that she had kicked the purse out of the car onto the running
board when she let a dog into the car and that it fell from the running board at
the spot near the bridge on E where Lemke found it.
