Johnson, Louisa M. (30 JAN 1887 – 28 OCT 1965)
Mrs. Louisa Mary Johnson, 78, rural Colby, died at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, October
28, 1965, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.
Rev. Leroy Urman officiated, and burial was in the Green Grove Cemetery (town of
Colby).
Pallbearers were Myron Ewert, Johan Kassie, Herb Lube, Ralph Will, Lester
Schaefer and Albert Mandel.
Mrs. Johnson was born Louisa Mary Gottschalk January 30, 1887, in the town of
Colby. She attended local school, after which she spent eight years working in
Sheboygan. Her marriage to Oscar Johnson took place in 1924 in the town of Green
Grove. They lived on a farm in the town of Colby for the past 40 years..
Surviving are one son, Martin of Sussex, and four grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
