Hale, Katherine M. (12 May 1894 – 18 September 1977)
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church
in Neillsville for Mrs. Katherine M. Hale, 83, of Neillsville, who died Sunday,
September 18, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. Joseph Henseler
officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Delavan, Il., with the
Rev. Thomas Brajkovich officiating. Arrangements were made by the Georgas-Gesche
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hale, daughter of Robert and Mary Woods Kritzberger, was born May 12, 1894,
at Emden, Il., and received her education in Illinois, where she lived most of
her life. Her marriage to Raleigh Hale took place September 17, 1922, at
Springfield, Il. Following the death of her husband in 1956, Mrs. Hale moved to
Milwaukee where she did private nursing. She came to Neillsville a year and
one-half ago and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church here.
Survivors include a daugher, Mrs. Joseph (Jean) Vieau of Merrillan; a sister,
Mary Cameron of Neillsville; and five grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and
one sister.
