Mr. and Mrs. Milford Gilbert, Abbotsford, will be celebrated their 40th wedding
anniversary, Saturday, June 24, 1972 at Abbotsford City Hall, with an open house
from 1 to 4 p.m.
Friends and relatives are welcome to attend. No cards will be sent.

Gilbert, Mr./Mrs. Milford (40th – 19 Apr 1972)
Mr. and Mrs. Milford Gilbert celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary June 14,
1972 at Abbotsford City Hall with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m.
Milford Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gilbert, and violet Miller,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller, were united in marriage April 19, 1931
at the home of her parents in the town of Halsey. The Reverend G. W. Zimmer
officiated and James and Arian Gilbert, brother and sister of the groom, were
attendants.
During their 40 years of marriage the lived at Green Bay and Greenleaf,
Wisconsin, where he was pastor of the Community Church. They moved to New
Holstein and later to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
In 1940 they moved to Clark County and lived at Pelsdorf and Loyal, and held
services at Butler and Neillsville. Serving as pastor at Veefkind, near Spencer,
they later moved to Dorchester and held services at Medford. They then moved to
Colby and Abbotsford.
The couple has nine children, Allen, Minneapolis, Nathan, Appleton, Janet, Sioux
Falls, Jonathon, Juneau, Wis., Ruth, Marshfield, Phillip, serving in the Air
Force at Altus, Oklahoma, Neil, Mayville, and Deborah and Dale are at home. They
have 18 grandchildren.
Mrs. Gilbert, a housewife, likes to knit, crochet and work in the garden.
