Tammie Venzke, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Venzke, Route 1, Abbotsford,
won a Schwinn bicycle in a national contest. The Good Deeders Club, The
Children’s Bible Story Hour, broadcast over WWIB-FM, Ladysmith, told of the
contest.
Miss Venzke’s name was entered by her mother, and her good deeds, which include
help given in care of foster brothers and sisters, member of the Safety Patrol,
and her Bible reading and conduct, were listed, and as a result she won the
bicycle.
She received a phone call from the radio station on June 7, 1974, telling her
she was a winner, resulting in a surprised and delighted little girl. Builers
Sport Shop at Wausau deliver the bicycle on Saturday, June 15.
