The 37th annual reunion of the Ben P. Merwin Sr. family was held at Oak Island Park, Wausau, Sunday, August 18, 1974, with 125 relatives and friends doming from many parts of Wisconsin and several families from Minnesota.

A picnic lunch was served at noon, followed by a short business meeting, presided by President Archie Merwin. Officers were re-elected as follows: Arch Merwin, Wausau, president; Arvin Merwin, Kewaskum, vice-president; John Edwards, Stetsonville, secretary, and Ruby Frances, Rothschild, treasurer.

Each family gave a short report of the activities of their families, after which Ina Hennlich, historian, presented several items which were added to the Merwin family history book.

Ben Merwin (Sr.), 90, has attended each reunion since 1937, and was presented with a birthday cake and purse. The 1975 reunion will be held at Cherokee Park, Colby, on August 19.
