Podevels, Eugene (25 Feb 1899 – 20 Aug 1974)

Eugene Podevels, 75, Route 1, Colby, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 1974 in a Marshfield hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, town of Frankfort. The Rev. Lewis Davidson officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Podevels was born February 23, 1899, in Marathon County. He married Anna Sellung in Milwaukee on December 15, 1928. He farmed in the town of Hull all his life.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; a son, Lavern, Germantown; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Kaisersbot (?) Route 1, Marathon, Mrs. Bernard Dahlke, Route 1, Colby, and Mrs. Orville Manecke, Route 1, Edgar; two brothers, Herman and Albert, both of Route 2, Colby; two sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Schuls, Spencer, and Mrs. Ernest Kading, Sheboygan; 27 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
