Miss Kathy Roth was honored at a luncheon given by Mrs. Robert Gabower and Mrs.
Gilman Stand at the Strand home in Wausau on Saturday, May 3, 1975.
Miss Roth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Roth, and Drake Sleege, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Del Sleege, will be married on Friday, June 13, 1975 at 8 p.m. in the
First United Church of Christ, Colby.

On June 13, 1975, in an 8 p.m. candlelight ceremony, Kathy Roth and Drake Sleege
were married by the Rev. Kenneth Dix and the Rev. Patrick Kelly at the First
United Church of Christ, Colby.
The bride wore a gown of candlelight knit and carried a bouquet of Shasta
daisies. She was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Roth,
Abbotsford. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Del Sleege, Abbotsford.
Nancy Brunkhorst, Milwaukee, matron of honor, wore a canary yellow knit gown and
carried a bouquet of Shasta daisies.
Clark Sleege, Stevens Point, was the best man. Dan Olson, Unity, and Dennis
Punko, Menomonee Falls, ushered.
Music was played by Betty Decker, organist, Tom Herman, vocalist and Trudee
Fitzgerald, guitarist.
The couple was honored at a reception and dance at the Sword, Colby.
The bride is a 1968 graduate of Abbotsford High School. She attended the
University of Wisconsin, La Cross and is a teacher at Lincoln School, Hartford.
The bridegroom, who has been discharged from the Navy Aerial Space Medics,
attended the same University, and is a student at the University of Wisconsin,
Milwaukee.
The couple will live in Hartford.
