Two former Colby High School students have been awarded $50 Forensic Club
scholarships.
Bruce La Sota, club advisor, announced that this year’s recipients are Tami
Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Johnson, Unity, and Mary Langhus,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Langhus, Colby.
Miss Johnson and Miss Langhus were active members and past officers of the
Forensic Club, members of Ipsissima Verba, an honorary forensics society, and
also active in many other high school organizations.
The scholarships are based on extracurricular activities, academic standing and
need. Both recipients will attend the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point
next fall.
