Allen Block Fire, 1931

Allen Building Housed Wepfer Pharmacy, Loyal Tribune, Bill Meyer Bowling Alley, Kehrberg's Store and 7 Families lived in the Building. During the 28 Mar 1931 fire, 7 Families lived in the building. 6 people perished in the fire. Matt Beavers wife was one of those fatalities. The disaster headlines appeared at the same time as the fatal crash of Knute Rockne.
