Dr. Elmo J. Schmidt was born in Auburndale, Wisconsin, June 5, 1910 and died in 1996. He married Norma V. (Roth?) who was born in 1913. Dr. Schmidt was in private dental practice in Abbotsford from 1934-1953. While he was a resident of Clark County, Dr. E. J. Schmidt was a member of the Abbotsford Lions Club.
He is buried in the Colby St. Mary Cemetery along with their son, Billy G. who died November 22, 1946 of Polio. Their daughter, Karen, married Dr. Daniel Goudelock of Knoxville, Tennessee and they had two children.
