On April 1, 1820, Todd officially became the sixty-fourth county of Kentucky, named to honor Col. John Todd, who fell in the Battle of Blue Lick. Nestled between its parent counties of Christian and Logan, to our north is the county of Muhlenberg. Bordered by Montgomery County, TN to the south. The county is 30 miles long, 12 miles wide, with a total area of 367 square miles. The town of Elkton was designated as the County Seat.
