The Nebraska Genealogical Society is pleased to acknowledge the receipt from Francis Burton Harrison of Clinton, New Jersey, of a copy of the Harrisons of Skimino, by the late Fairfax Harrison of Belvoir, Farquier County, Virginia, printed in 1910. This volume carries the family line from Richard1 Harrison (1600-1664), settler in York County, Virginia, to Burton Newell Harrison, private secretary of Jefferson Davis at the time he was president of the Confederate States of America. There is also much material of historical interest, especially during the 1850's, 1860's and 1870's. There is a splendid index.
