  (b) Jacob Penn, b. Aug. 3, 1825, Washington Co., Pa., son of William and Phebe (Bane) Penn, married, Nov. 19. 1846, Emeline, daughter of William and Maria (Clawson) McClary. He came to Otoe Co. in 1859. - Chapman, p. 220.

  (f) George Oelke, b. Nov. 12, 1842, near Nauhaus, Germany, son of John and Maggie (Meyer) Oelke, came to Iowa with his father's family in 1857.   (g) Hirah Stanford, b. Mar. 12, 1823, Boardman, 0., son of Oliver and Olive (Mason) Stanford, married, Mar. 29, 1850, Portage Co., 0., Sarah L., daughter of James and Mary (Chapman) Shewell. They lived at Elkhorn, Wis., until they came to Nebraska in 1860. - Chapman, p. 1045.
  (h) Andrew J. Reynolds, b. Nov. 30, 1828, Yates Co., N. Y., son of Thomas and Sarah (Benedict) Reynolds, married, Apr. 6, 1853, Yates Co., N. Y., Miss Eleanor M. Bassett, daughter of David Bassett. In 1860 he went to the Pike's Peak gold fields. He settled in Otoe Co. about 1862. They adopted two girls, Leonora Hughes being one of them. - Chapman, p. 658.

  (in) Andrew Stout, b. Feb. 1, 1837, Pike Co., Ill., son of Emley and Elvira (Denny) Stout, married, Nov. 18, 1858, Morgan Co., Ill., Mary E., dau. of Nathan and Catherine (Epler) Blizzard.   (q) Francis Sim, b. May 9, 1821, county Cornwall, England, son of Philip and Elizabeth (Rowe) Sim. came to America in 1848. He lived in Conn. for several years, where he married Sarah M., dau. of Daniel and Wealthy (Burr) Clark. They came to Otoe Co. in 1856. He was a member of the territorial legislature. - Ibid, p. 261.
  (r) James H. Kennicutt, a native of Mass., grew up in N. T., where he married Miss Abigail Wells, a native of Conn. Their dau. Mary was the wife of James Foote. The son. William E. Kennicutt, b. May 8, 1834, accompanied Joseph Foote to Nebraska.

  (t) Henry Vollmann, b. Feb. 4, 1830, near Frankfort, Germany, son of Henry and Elizabeth Vollmann, came to Louisville, Ky., in 1853 and settled in Otoe Co. in 1856. He married 1858 at Nebraska City, Ursula, dau. of Jacob and Anna (Zwecke) Schindler, a native of Switzerland. - Chapman, p. 276. See also Nebraska City News, 1904 Oct. 18, p. 3 (4).
  (u) Lawson Cook, b. July 25, 1818, county Cumberland, England, was the son of Lawson Cook. He came to America in 1849, the year following the death of his first wife. His second wife was Mrs. Agnes (Jenkinson) Harrison, a native of England. They had
