Linn County Cemeteries

Providence Cemetery is located adjacent to the Providence Church. The building was erected in 1892 on the site of the original 1855 structure built from logs. Many of the original settlers in this part of Linn County are buried here. The cemetery is located in Linn County, Oregon, near Scio, Lacomb, Crabtree and Lebanon. Click here for maps and directions to reach the cemetery. Original book photographed and compiled by Cathy Crenshaw Morgan; electronic version by Jan Phillips.

I recommend you first go to the Alphabetical Indexes of Names on the Tombstones, write down the numbers of the tombstones you wish to view, and then go on to the Index of Tombstone Numbers to find the pages to view the tombstone and family information.

A special thank you to Cathy Crenshaw Morgan, who generously allowed me to borrow her original book on Providence Cemetery, for the benefit of all researchers worldwide. These pages were hand-typed from the originals, with the exception of the Alphabetical Indexes, which were scanned. Any mistakes are my own, and typos are to be expected. For these, I apologize, and welcome any corrections or additions to these pages.
