Way Back When

 The Thorp Courier  --   March 5, 2008

pic

Do you recognize any of the men in this picture who appear to be taking a break from plowing snow and one enjoying his pipe during a winter from years gone by?  They are seen here standing by a heaping pile of snow, but it was undoubtedly not the biggest that this crew had ever seen.  What year might this photo be from, and what do you remember about this crew and/or this particular winter?  Let us know what you recall.

Attention Readers and Residents: We invite you to bring in photos for use in the Way Back When segment.  The photos can be scanned upon being brought in and then returned to their owners. In an effort to offer readers a range of historical pictures coming from different people, The Thorp Courier strives to keep a variety of Way Back When pictures on hand.
