Way Back When

 The Thorp Courier  --   July 2, 2008

This photo was brought in by Alice Danielewicz. A dapper couple poses in their Sunday best. Despite being married, they project an air of refinement, a distinguished attitude. Do you know who these two are: Andy clues on when and where this photo was taken? Please share any information you have on the picture with the Thorp Courier and our readers.

The June 4th, 2008 photo of a bride, groom and wedding party has been identified as being from the wedding of Ida Osowski, daughter of Joseph and Pauline Osowski, and Frank G. Piekarz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Piekarz. The ceremony took place on October 29, 1928 at St. Hedwig’s Church. Sadly, the bride died a few years later on February 9, 1931.

The people in the photo are identified below. Names with an asterisk haven’t been conclusively identified.
