Way Back When

With the temperatures dropping quickly, it looks as though winter is drawing nearer, even according to the men in this week’s Way Back When photo!  This large group of men, all bundled up in jackets, hats, and gloves all stand outside what appears to be the Old St. Hedwig’s Church, loading up a ladder on a truck.  Do you know anything about what these men have gathered for?  Can you identify any of the men?  Let us know by contacting The Thorp Courier.

Last week’s Way Back When photo showcased five women posing together on a special occasion.  The five women have been identified as Mrs. Frank Smidke, Mrs. Charles Possley, Mrs. Katherine Valecheck, Mrs. Edith Brunner, and Mrs. Alfred Kaas.

For more information on this photo, check next week's column.
