Three Weeks ago:

The “Way Back When” photograph from February 21 pictured a group of school children posing in front of their school. We have learned from Eileen Frenette that the picture was taken in May of 1929. Pictured are Back Row: (L-R) Angelina Borysiewicz, Betty Jane Norton, Jane Huls, Velda Wolf, Mary Wegielski, Ruth Oakes, Geraldine Nie. Middle Row: Dorothy Larson, Marion “Buster” Barnhardt, Ceano Soderberg, Dorothy Brohen, Clarisse Hubbard, Dolly Warner, Doris Wynberg, Rose Golwacki, Rita Sloota, Eleanor Stszeszynski, Ruth Rusch, Eileen Bogumill. Front Row: Stanley Smigas, Harvey Briggs, Harvey Seaman, Vilas Asselin, Ray Kenny, Stanley Glowacki, Marion Bittle, Paul Manicke, Lyle “Chub” Asselin, Marshall Solie, Jack Bordman. Seven Weeks ago:

A while back on January 24, “Way Back When” showed a photograph of two curly headed young boys sitting on the front steps. We received a reply from Butch Lewan telling us that the boys in the photo are twin brothers Al and John Kowal. Didn’t you boys recognize yourselves?
