Nancy (nee Fisher) Lane

About 1806 - February 24, 1896

The 27 February 1896 issue of the Republican and Press read that a Mrs. Nancy Lane (age 90) died in Marshfield, Wisconsin on "last Monday", which may have been Monday, 24 February 1896.  The death notice also indicated that she was a sister to Jasper Fisher and was buried in York Center Cemetery on 26 February 1896.  Therefore, it is presumed that Nancy Lane is buried in Lot B-9 next to her brother and sister-in-law, Jasper and Adeline Fisher.  The news article also implies that she lived in York Township for several years (probably at her brother Jasper's farm) and then a year before she died, went to live with her niece in Marshfield, Wisconsin.  The niece was probably Florence (nee Fisher) Bolton.
