Martha Rowe

May 23, 1822 - December 23, 1890

Martha (nee Moore) Rowe was the wife of Joseph J. Rowe, Sr.  Born in Salem, New Jersey, she was a daughter of Mathias and Ann (nee Cheeseman) Moore.  She married Joseph Rowe in Salem, New Jersey on April 29, 1845.  The Rowes moved to Sheboygan County, Wisconsin in April 1856 where they lived until moving to York Township, Clark County circa 1884.  One of their sons, William Rowe, who married the former Zelina Lawrence, was also an early pioneer of York Township.  Both William and Zelina Rowe and many of their descendants are buried in York Center Cemetery.
