CASHMAN/McNAMARA

I am looking for any information in regards to Thomas Edward Cashman and Johanna McNamara.  They married abt 1880 in Falls City, NE.  They had two children Kathryn and Mary.  Johanna died in 1883.  I am just looking for any information that will back this up.Shannon Hoverson.slh101@cox.net

I have Thomas Edward Cashman marring Johanna McNamara in Falls City, NE in 1880.  Johanna's parents were Martin and Johanna McNamara, they may have moved to Auburn, NE later as Martin is listed as having died in Auburn, NE in 1893.  Thomas and Johanna had two children, Mary (who died in infancy) and Kathryn. Johanna Cashman died in 1883.  I am trying to locate any information on her and on Thomas Cashman living in Falls City or around there. His whole family may have moved there. His mother's name was Cathrine Cashman. Thomas later moved to Oklahoma by about 1890.

FUTSCHER

I am (trying) to research the Futscher family. Adam Fuetscher, born Voralsberg, Austria, entered the U. S., ( I believe in N. Y. 1852). I find a census listing for him in Bellevue, St. Clair County, Illinois in 1870, then he resurfaced in Nebraska in the 1885 census. His son, Anthony, (born in Illinois) married Blen (Blanche) Close, born Boone, Nebraska. They had 3 children and Newton, (my husband's father) married Nellie Grace Speers, (still living) born in Falls City, 1915 also. I would appreciate any information & am willing to share what I have also, though scant. Nancy Futscher. nancyf@cnetech.com

BINDEL/SCHILLING/LATTNER

Rose Lattner was born March 30, 1868 in Rulo, Richardson Co., NE. She was the daughter of Andraus/Andrew Lattner and Crescentia/Mary Schilling who immigrated from Wuerttemberg [villages of Dobel & Uttenweiler] in 1867. The Bindel surname may possibly be connected to the Lattner/Schilling family. Andrew Lattner was either a Shoemaker or Cigarmaker. The Lattner family were listed in the city directory for St. Joseph MO from 1870-1915, so their residence in Richardson County was brief. They were of the Catholic faith. Any research suggestions are greatly appreciated. Marie.Ancestorssearchi@aol.com

SPEISER

I'm John W. SPEISER, and our family is looking for some information about the SPEISER clan who used to live in the Humboldt area. We know that David SPEISER came to the area in 1855 with wife, Elizabeth and newborn son, David, Jr. David ended up owning the Humboldt Sentinel, which he managed together with his wife, Ida's, father, George Gird, and her brother. I have that information readily available from the 1882 Andrea's and Edward's 1917 Histories on Richardson Co.

We particularly want to know what happened to one of David Jr. and Ida's sons, Ralph William Speiser, who was my grandfather. At some point Ralph moved away to North Platte, then Lincoln, then Durango CO. where our dad was born. We'd really like to talk to someone who might know more about that. Ralph eventually moved to Newburgh, NY. We'd be glad to share what we learn. If anyone has any other info on David and Elizabeth Speiser, or any other SPEISER history, please put us in touch! We are thinking of visiting the Humboldt area next summer, for pleasure and exploring history. Thank you and Best Regards, John W. Speiser 1 Duryea Road, Upper Montclair, NJ 07043. Phone: 973-746-5554 or 908-286-0023. speiser@nedev.com
