COLEMAN, Mrs J. Witt
The Fairview Review Nov. 28, 1894
Mrs. J. Witt Coleman has passed into her final rest. God knoweth best and doeeth all things well. Mrs. Coleman was a woman of great force, of character and a kind disposition, a good neighbor, a loving wife and mother , and a faithful friend. She filled well the sphere that God assigned her and performed her duties faithfully. For many years she was a member of the Episcopal church, she exemplifed in her life the practical virtues, that adorn the christian life and when the time came for to cross the dark river, with strong faith in her Heavenly Father and hope of immortality, she expressed her willingness to to go join the loved ones on the other shore.  Posted by Todd County KYGenWeb on Thu, Aug 5, 1999

STEWART, Brown
Kentucky New Era Friday June 30, 1893
In Memory of Little Brown Stewart. Little Brown Stewart, little son of Mr. J. D. and Mrs. Emma Stewart, departed this life June 15th, A. S. 1893, after an illness of about 37 days caused from pneumonia fever, combined with catarrif of the lungs and nose, terminating with some symptoms of brain fever. He was buried at Ebenezer Church grave-yard, June 16th, in a very neat and appropriate manner. Little Brown Stewart was 16 months, nearly 17 months old. He was full large to his age and of more than ordinary brightness of intellect. Was in his manner and disposition of natural understanding, more like a grown person than a child. He died at the residence of Wm. B. Hubbards, grandfather of the deceased child, near Pilot Rock, Todd Co., Ky. A short time before he died he pointed his finger upwards, then made signs for his mother and friends to come to him, upon which he fixed his mouth, kissed his mamma, placing his little hand upon her face. Then he made signs for the rest of the family and friends, who in turn went to him and kissed him farewell, he placing his hand on their heads. Grieve not dear mother, relatives and kind friends, but be of good comfort, little Brown Stewart is now resting in the sweet realms of heavenly bliss, he is a little angel in heaven. Remember, Jesus said to his disciples, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of heaven."
"Oh! death where is they sting,
Oh! grave where is thy victory.
But Jesus can make a dying bed;
Fell soft as downy pillows are."   -J. T. WEST
