  • Colby: An extensive list of local businessmen in and around the village of Colby, WI, from the 1888 Colby Phonograph.  This extremely rare gem was transcribed by Linda Ewen.

  • Colby Township: 1880, 1893, 1905, 1915, 1926, 1938, 1945, 1956, 1960, 1964, 1967, 1970, 1976, 1970, 1976, 1979 & 1982 Plat Map Transcriptions; contributed by Linda Ewen.  Linda did another fabulous job on this extensive project which should be a wonderful Clark County resource for many years to come.  Thank you Linda!!!

  • WWI Veteran's: "Clark County Gold Star Veterans", This Gold Star List has about 61 soldiers and 1 sailor from the book put out by the Department of War History of the State Historical society in 1925; contributed by Ken Wood.

  • Civil War Burials: Lani Bartlet has contributed a biographical sketch of Henry F. Shelley, a Civil War Soldier who is buried in Unity Township.  This was also a new addition to the list!

  • Biographies: We have a photo of the Charles Card Family and are seeking additional details concerning it.

  • Mentor Township: The Fairview Catholic Cemetery Index if now on line.  This cemetery is in Clark County and is associated with the St. Joseph's Church located in Jackson County as the line bisects the church property.  Please let us know if you can add any additional details or would like a photo of any of the tombstones.  Many thanks to both Lorraine Markee and Ken Wood for all of their help with this spreadsheet.

  • Mystery Photos: More mystery photos (#72-99) from the Thorp Area Museum and would like you to take a look to see if you can help identify them!

  • Biographies: We have a photo from the Thorp Area Museum of James D. Ishmael and are seeking additional information regarding it as we'd like to add it to our WWII Military Collection. We also have a picture of an individual labeled only "Oakley" which is also from the Thorp Collection, one labeled "Gilbert Winchell of Dorchester" and one of Earl Alger.  If you can tell us anything about these photos, please contact us.

  • Civil War Pages: New biographical information, including photos, has been contributed for Aaron Catlin Ransom Hutchins by Charmaine Becker.  Thanks to her for helping us expand our knowledge of Civil War soldiers who once made their home in Clark Co., WI. 

  • Civil War Burials: Lots of new names have been added to this list.  If you have a Civil War soldier who resided in this area, we'd love to include any additional information you can provide.  Just contact Al Wessel!

  • Civil War Burials: The Civil War Diary of John Henry Welsh of Loyal, Clark County, WI who served with Co. I, 29th Wis. Vol. Inf.; was wonderfully written by  Mildred Sterr and contributed by her brother, Sherrin Mack.  We are seeking a photo of John to accompany this extremely interesting book.  If you have one to share, please contact us.

  • Wood County, WI Cemeteries: Ken Wood is busy updating the cemetery indexes for Wood Co., WI which borders Clark County to the East.  We've included these on the site because many Clark County, WI residents are buried there.  The first update in this series is Rock Cemetery.

  • Lynn Township: The Lynn Cemetery index has been significantly updated with new data contributed by Jim Sternitzky, our Lynn and Grant Townships Historian.  This was another part of the recent  photo shoot we held in that vicinity a few weeks ago when a group of us snapped well over 2,000 tombstone pictures!  The entire batch of pictures are available upon request.

  • Lynn Township: Lynn Cemetery has been updated with many new additions and photos contributed by Jim Sternitzky.  This was part of the recent  photo shoot we held in that vicinity and I can testify that Jim and his wife are real troopers. They photographed many of the stones on soggy ground in drizzling weather.  Now, that is real dedication!!!

  • Cemetery Pages: Ken Wood must have calloused fingers after this one!  He has compiled an index of nearly 10,000 burials for Wood Co. Cemeteries.  This master index includes all the cemeteries in the Wood County Cemetery Index, Volumes 1-9, with the exception of the following cemeteries: Forest Hill, Calvary, and Restlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Grand Rapids, and Hillside Municipal and Gate of Heaven Catholic in the Town/City of Marshfield.  Since many Clark Co. folks are buried in Wood Co., we've decided to include this new reference in our pages.

  • Hoard Township: Church pages--Svein Botterud has made corrections to the transcription we had for an old Norwegian hymn, Kirken, and supplied a link to the melody.  He also included a note for all of us, "Happy Easter!".

  • Volunteers: Our newest volunteer is Arlene Peil and she'll be adding Greenwood Gleaner Clippings to the records board.  Her ancestor, Essy Andrews, began this project for the Greenwood Public Library while acting as head librarian.  We think it is very special that one of her descendants will now be continuing to her work on the world wide web!
