wpe3.gif (8053 bytes)Anson Windsor was a pioneer of York Township.  The 1880 Federal Census for Clark County lists an A. Windsor (72) living in York Township with a son, William (25).  Similarly, an 1880 plat map shows an A. Windsor owning 40 acres of land in Section 9.  He was the father of Sophronia Lawrence/Bassett (who was the widow of Jesse Lawrence’s brother, Harvey, and later the wife of Edwin B. Bassett), Lorinda Lawrence (Horace A. Lawrence’s first wife), Esther Livingston (Sam Livingston’s wife) and Jane Palmer (Joseph Palmer’s wife).
