George Turner

April 3, 1901 - January 20, 1990

George Turner was a son of Abie and Hattie (nee Lindsley) Turner.  Abie Turner was a son of Abel and Arvilla (nee Thompson) Turner, early pioneers of York Township.  Hattie Turner was a daughter of George and Sarah (nee Lawrence) Lindsley, who were also early settlers of York Township.  Sarah Lindsley was a daughter of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, who were also pioneers of York.  Grant Turner, Price Turner, Birdeen Turner, Clayton Turner, Myron Turner and Harriet Triska are siblings of George Turner who have plots in York Center Cemetery.  George Turner married the former Margaret Geisler on December 16, 1922.
