Irvin Vandeberg

April 10, 1899 - June 17, 1961

Irvin Vandeberg was a son of Abram and Lois (nee Lawrence) Vandeberg.  Abram Vandeberg was an early settler of York Township.  Lois Vandeberg was a daughter of Horace A. and Edna (nee Smithers) Lawrence, who were pioneers of York Township.  Horace A. Lawrence was a son of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, who were also York pioneers.  Edna Lawrence was a daughter of William and Lois (nee Knight) Smithers, who came to York Township in the 1880s.  Irvin Vandeberg married the former Hilda Edens, a daughter of William H. and E. Katherine Edens, who were also early pioneers of York Township.  Two of Irvin Vandeberg’s siblings, Lawrence and Carrie Vandeberg, and Irvin’s grandson, Dennis Richmond are also buried in York Center Cemetery.
