Lillie Vandeberg

 

January 11, 1867 - November 30, 1939

wpeF.gif (4505 bytes)Born in Lyndon Township, Sheboygan County;[i] Lillie (nee Lawrence) Vandeberg was a daughter of Horace A. Lawrence, an early York Township pioneer and Civil War veteran, and his first wife, the former Lorinda Windsor (a daughter of Anson Windsor, another York pioneer).  Horace Lawrence was a son of Jesse and Almeda (nee Benedict) Lawrence, who also came to York Township circa 1875. As such, she was a half-sibling to other people buried in the York Center Cemetery, including: Lois Vandeberg, Orin Lawrence, Roy Lawrence, Floy Huntley), Earl Lawrence, Olive Campbell, Carrie Lawrence, and Horace  H. Lawrence.  In addition, she was a sibling to Ida Turner, Burton Lawrence, and Melvin Lawrence, who are also buried in York Center Cemetery. Another sibling of Lillie's was George Lawrence, who is interred at Tacoma, Washington.  Lillie married John Vandeberg, an early settler of York Township.  Four of John and Lillian Vandeberg’s children are also buried in York Center Cemetery:  Alvin Vandeberg, Manley Vandeberg, Horace Vandeberg, and Ida Voight.
