John G. Richardson, son of George and Sarah (Griffin) Richardson, was born Jan. 28, 1797 in Monroe Co., IL. He married Orpha Thompson. She was born Feb. 26, 1802 in South Carolina. Their children: Milton Empson, Thomas Jefferson, William Winston, George Washington, Lewis Clark, Elijah Thompson, Obadiah Waddle, John Wesley, Andrew Jackson, Enoch Numbers, James Asher, and Rebecca Jane (who married James Ennis).

John Richardson married second, Mrs. Pluria Bonney.
